** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

 

Start by cutting the Color 1  7-1/2" x 25-1/2" rectangle into nine 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" strips. (If you prefer you can cut these rectangles from 2-1/2" wide x width of fabric strips) Next cut the Color 2 strips to the lengths mentioned in the Supplies List. Now cut the Color 3 strips to the lengths mentioned in the Supplies List as well...

 

 

Sew the 2-1/2" Color 2 square to the end of one Color 1 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip. Sew another Color 1 strip to the left side of that two piece strip, right sides together, and using a SCANT 1/4" seam. Stop sewing 1/4" from the bottom of the strip. Add another Color 1 strip to the right side of the unit. Stop sewing 1/4" from the bottom of the strip Press seam allowances towards the outer strips...on to Page 2 !
