This makes a 9" block, and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try the Wood Lily! You will need to print out the number of units specified on the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be fine for this!

Having pieced all the units, join them together into rows, using the squares in the corners. Use 1/4" seams as always, and press the seam allowances in alternating directions by row. Sew the rows together, and there is your block! :o)

The quilt as shown here, is another simple four blocks by five, surrounded by a border, and then a pieced square border...

Happy Quilting Everyone!
