Then sew two Color 1 squares and two Color 2 squares to the ends of a Color 2 A rectangle as shown at top left. Press seams to dark sides. Make two units like that and sew them to the top and bottom of the center unit. Press seams out...

Next sew Color 1 squares to the ends of a Color 2 B rectangle. Press seams to dark sides. Make two units like this and sew them to the left and right of the center unit. Press seams out...

Now sew Color 2 C rectangles to the left and right of the center unit. Press seams out...

Make two units as shown at top left, using two Color 2 squares, four Color1 squares and Color 2 rectangle B's. Make two units as shown at bottom left, using two Color 2 squares, two Color1 squares and Color 2 rectangle C's....

Referring to the step above, sew the first pair of strips we just made to the top and bottom of the block, then add the second pair of strips to the top and bottom...and the block is done!
