This time, sew a Color1/Color 2 Half Square to the bottom of a Color 1/Color 4 Half/Quarter Square. Press seam to one side. Add a Color 5/Color 1 Flying Geese unit to the left of that unit. Press seam to one side...

 

 

Next sew the Color 3  2-1/2" (2") square to a Color2/Color 4 Half/Quarter Square, pressing seam to one side. Then sew the other Color2/Color 4 Half/Quarter Square to a Color 2  2-1/2" (2") square, again pressing seam to one side. Join these two units...

 

Now lay out All the units as shown. Sew three horizontal rows, pressing the top and bottom row seams to the outside, and the middle row seam to the center. Join the rows, and Carolyn's Star is done!

Color 2 Color 2 needs:  one 3-1/4" (2-3/4") square AND one 2-1/2" (2") square one 2-7/8" (2-3/8") square AND one 5-1/4" (4-1/4") square
Color 3 Color 3 needs: one 2-1/2" ( 2") square
Color 4 Color 4 needs: one 3-1/4" (2-3/4") square AND one 2-7/8" x 5-3/4" (2-3/8"x 4-3/4") strip
Color 5 Color 5 needs: one 4-1/2" x 18" (3-1/2" x 14") strip AND one 2-1/2" x 9" (2" x 7") strip AND one 5-1/4" (4-1/4") square
