Lay out the four units we just made and stitch the two left units together, starting at stopping at a point 1/4" from the left end of that seam, reinforcing at beginning and end with a backstitch. Do the same with the two right side units. Now join them together, again stopping and starting 1/4" from each end of the seam, and reinforce...

 Now set in your four triangle/side units in the same manner as you set in your corner squares, Stitching from the inner point to the edges, and reinforcing at the inner points. Now your block is done! Congratulations!

Here's a very simple table runner and four placemats! It makes a lovely quilt too, of course! :o)
