Hi Marcia, I like the new look to your home page of Quilter's Cache...a Cache Cow, eh? Hope you are enjoying the summer. We are quilting, or rather piecing up a storm here in GA hoping for rain, and having our usual too-hotness, along with a drought. The ity of Albany, GA has mandated watering restrictions for the first time ever, you know--odd/even like your house number. Why is it that we water faithfully now that we are restricted? Our grass and garden never looked so good! Usually by now it's all drie up and the grass has gone dormant from heat and lack of rain. We've promised ourselves to install a sprinkler system next Spring, as it is quite an aerobic workout to lug and stretch the hoses all over, every other day! Well, I did it! With your help I created my first quilt top (now all I have to do is put it all together!). I'm ready to start on my next one. A coworker of mine made a quilt that looked like a pine forest, but since she's not here anymore I'm asking f r your help. Is there an easy pattern for skinny pine trees? I don't think she used anything that looked like a fat christmas tree. I would love to create a forest scene with embroidered forest creatures amongst the pines. Love your site and the ease of finding a pattern, however, I do wish you had alternate sizing shown (i.e. 9" or 8" or 10"...) I seldom use 12" blocks in anything and therefore have to convert all the patterns to smaller sizes...but, you and your site are reat....thank you

Dear Marcia, I love your blocks. The directions are clear and simple - your colors and fabric choices are great. I have only been quilting 2 years and only recently found your site. I am using different blocks to make a lap quilt. I teaach home economics to 6-8th g ade boys and girls. I would be interested in more very simple blocks like the Christmas tree block. I would prefer something other than Christmas to appeal to all my students. Thank-you for this wonderful web site.

I have enjoyed looking at all your blocks. They are very interesting. I am a self-taught quilter. My Mother-in-law got me interested because my husbands grandmother made quilts for the whole family. I had always been interested in doing it and finally got started and doubt that I will be able to quit now. I like most designing my own quilts but using traditional blocks in a style all my own. I buy material and then think about what I want to do with it and then figure out how to do it.

I found wonderful prints in fat quarters while I was on a vacation. I would like a pattern or an idea for a wall hanging that would need 5 fat quarters.
