This makes a 12" block and is paper pieced! It's a Circa 1900 pattern!

... a real Stash reducer, with each strip being just 1-1/2" wide in varying lengths!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Michigan Block! You will need to print out two copies of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Hit the Scrap Basket for this one!

After the units are paper pieced, join them as shown at left to complete this block!

Shown here on its side is a quilt of four blocks by five with only a binding!  Those of you who love Log Cabins will probably like this one too!

Happy Quilting!

Here's one that Sophie made!  Katye's!  Jacque's!

Francine's!  Kristen's! Quilting Angel's!  Jodie's!
