** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

First piece your fan blades in pairs, right sides together, and sewing with a scant 1/4" seam... |

Then join the pairs to make quads... |

Now join the two quads to make the fan portion of the block... |

Sew just inside the 1/4" seam line on the inner curve, and then using scissors snip at about 1/2" intervals up to, but NOT through the stitching. This will give that edge some give... |
