The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Fractured Sunrise Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters should be ample !

After your units are paper pieced, lay them out as shown at left. Remove the paper backing and then sew together three horizontal rows. Press row seams in alternating directions. There's ONE block done!

 This wall hanging of four blocks would surely make a profound eye impact, in a bright on black! Question? What do you see? The Colors, or the Black design?
