Using the standard scant 1/4" seam, sew four Color1, four Color 2 and one Color 3  2-1/2" squares together as shown at far left to make the block's center nine patch. Press seams in alternating directions by rows...

Sew two rectangle units to the sides of the center nine patch.  Then sew the Color 2/Color 3 half squares to the ends of two rectangle units. Piece the block as shown at left!

Here's a nine block wall hanging, about 34" square with the pieced border :o)
