Next sew the two Color 3 pieced half square triangle units to the top left and bottom right of a Color 1 octagon, pressing seams towards the octagon. Sew the other two half square triangle units to the top right and bottom left sides of the octagons. Make two units like this...

Piece the block, by sewing together those four completed units! See? It looks tough...but it's not! :o)

This quilt has a nice old timey look in tans and a navy print... and would be about 72" square, with a 5" wide border, and a 2" narrow border :o) Like it? Note* If you use directional fabrics, you'll want to pay close attention to their orientation within each block piece!
