The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Farmhouse Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat quarters should be plenty!

After your units are paper pieced, join them as shown at left to complete the block! Sew the three top-of-the-house sections together, and the tree top section to that.  Sew the stair section to the door section...then add the porch sections to the left and right of that, then the lawn/sky section to the far right. Add the porch roof to the top, then the grass sections to the bottom. Join the tree bottom section to the house bottom section , then sew the top of the block to the bottom :o).......Done!

No quilt to show for this one either, as it's best used in perhaps a quilt with a variety of other house/town type blocks! Stay Tuned!

Happy Quilting All! ...Marcia :o)
