The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Cross and Stars Block! You will need to print out two copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters should be plenty!

Cut four 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" sashing rectangles, and one 2-1/2" sashing square. After your units are paper pieced, sew them together with the sashing units as shown at left ...and that's it! :o)

This quilt is four blocks by five, with a pieced border of extra paper pieced units!
