This makes a 13-1/2" block and a 29" x 70" table runner!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** 

Start by cutting the Color 1  2" x 16" strip into eight 2" squares to be used in the Nine Patch units. Next, cut the Color 1  4" x 20" strip into eight 2" x 5" rectangles to be used in the Side units. Then cut the Color 1  3-1/2" x 28" strip into eight 3-1/2" squares to be used in the Corner units. Lastly cut the Color 1  7" x 20" strip into eight 3-1/2" x 5" rectangles for the Side units...

 

Next cut the Color 2  4" x 24" strip into twenty-four 2" squares to be used in the Nine Patch units. Next, cut the Color 2  4" x 20" strip into eight 2" x 5" rectangles to be used in the Side units. Then cut the Color 2  3-1/2" x 28" strip into eight 3-1/2" squares to be used in the Corner units. Now cut the Color 2  7" x 20" strip into eight 3-1/2" x 5" rectangles for the Side units. Cut the Color 2  2" x 28" strip into two 2" x 14" strips. Shown also are the four Color 2  2" x width of fabric=approx 42" (WOF) strips, just set those aside for now...
