On the seam line, lightly mark
a point 1/4" in from one corner of the Color 1 squares. Mark 1/4" from inside miter
of the Color 3 trapezoids as well, as shown. Match the top edges and the
marked dots of the square and the trap, right sides together. Using a
scant 1/4"seam sew from the outside edge to the marked point, and backstitch to secure this seam. Press seam towards center...
