Sew the block's center unit by making three rows as shown at far left, using the Color 5 small squares, the flying geese units, and the Color 5  3-1/2" square. Alternate pressing directions by row...

To make the block's sides...sew the Color 3 rectangles to the sides of the Color 4  3-1/2" squares. Press seams towards rectangles. Make four units like this...

Now sew together all the units we have made into rows, alternating pressing directions by row. Sew the three rows together, and there you have your Army Star! :o)
