This makes a 10 " block ! This one had a rather lengthy preparation process, but goes together fairly easily...*TIP...keep your pieces organized! :o)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

 

Mark and cut the Color 1  3" x 14" strip into eight 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles. Cut the Color 1  1-1/2" x 3" strip into two 1-1/2" squares. Label these COLOR 1...

Now cut the Color 2  1-1/2" x 7" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles. Cut the Color 2  1-1/2" x 9" strip into two 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangles. Cut the Color 2  1-1/2" x 3" strip into two 1-1/2" squares. Label these COLOR 2...

Next cut the Color 3  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 3...

Then cut the Color 4  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 4...

Now cut the Color 5  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 5...

Cut the Color 6  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 6...

Next cut the Color 7  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 7...

Then cut the Color 8  1-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip into two 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles and one 1-1/2" square. Label these COLOR 8...

Lastly, cut the Color 9  2-1/2" x 10" strip into four 2-1/2" squares. Label these COLOR 9...now...on to Page 2!
