Next place a Color 1  1-1/2" square right sides together against the lower left edge of a Color 2  4-1/2" square with outside edges aligned. Draw in the diagonal and sew on the drawn line. Cut off the excess seam allowance and press the remainder towards the corner. Repeat with another square on the lower right corner. Make four units like this...
Then lay out all the units as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows. Join the rows and the block is complete!
