To make one flying geese unit, place a Color 1 square right sides together atop the left end of a Color 2 rectangle, with outer edges aligned. On the back of the top square lightly mark the diagonal. Sew ON this diagonal marking. Cut off the excess seam allowance. Press the remainder towards the corner triangle. Repeat this with another Color 1 square on the other end of the rectangle. Make one more flying geese unit this way, and then two more using Color 1 rectangles and Color 2 squares...

Now lay out all units as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows. Sew the rows together to finish off your block!

Above you see two every different layouts. The one on the left is straight settings of the blocks. The one on the right rotates alternating blocks 90° .
