The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Wisconsin Star Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need one 3-1/2" green square for the block's center! A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be plenty!

After your units are paper pieced, join them as shown at left to complete the block!

The quilt, shown here on its side, is four blocks by five, with a very narrow border, then a pieced border that echoes the quilt top's outer edges!
