The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Twisting Spools Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be fine!

After your three units are paper pieced, sew them together as shown at left. This one is nice and easy! :o)

 Shown here are four blocks by four...but to funk them up a little, I added strips, log cabin style, around each one in an uneven number...one row all the way around each block in clockwise order, then a second row on the next two sides only...just for fun :o)
