** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Using a 1/4" seam allowance, sew together one strip of ten different colored rectangles and two units of four rectangles each...
Sew the different tan half square triangles to the 3-3/8" squares as shown at left. Press seams out, and trim unit to measure 4-1/2" square. Make four different units like this...
Sew the shorter rectangle units between two corner units. Then sew those to the longer rectangle unit as shown at left...
