			 | Sew each Color 2
quarter square triangle to a Color 1 quarter square triangle using a
1/4" seam, pressing the seam allowances towards the
darker fabric. Sew the remaining Color 2 quarter square triangles
together in pairs. Press seam allowances to one side... |

          | |
			 | Then sew three Color 1 /Color 2
combos to Color 1 /Color 1 combos, pressing seams towards the all
            Color 1 side... |

          | |
			 | Next tuck the stem
piece in the seam line before stitching the last Color 1 /Color 2
combo to the last Color 1/ Color 1 combo. Be sure the stem piece is
inserted so that its seam line will be against the right side of the
block, hence, not visible! Stitch the seam, catching in the stems
end. Press seam allowance towards the all Color 1 side... |

          | |
			 | Begin piecing the block
by sewing a quarter square to a Color 2 square, pressing seam
towards the quarter square. Add another Color 2 square, again
pressing towards the quarter square. This will be Row One of the
            block... |

          | |
			 | Then sew the center quarter square
(with stem) to a quarter square, being sure to keep the stem out of
the way so it doesn't get caught in any seams. Add another quarter
square. Press these seams towards the outer quarter squares. This
will be Row Two of the block... |

          | |
			 | Sew three Color 2 squares together
to make Row Three, pressing the seams towards the inner square...on
