** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Using the template provided, cut four squares from the Color 1 3-1/2" x 15" strip... |

|
Cut the Color 1 3-1/4" x 6-1/2" strip into two 3-1/4" squares. Stack these and then cut them on both diagonals to make eight quarter square triangles... |

Next cut the Color 3 3-1/4" x 6-1/2" strip into two 3-1/4" squares. Stack these and then cut them on both diagonals to make eight quarter square triangles... |

Then cut the Color 3 1-1/2" x 12" strip into eight 1-1/2" squares... |

|
Now cut the 2-7/8" x 11-1/2" strip into four 2-7/8" squares. Stack these and cut them on the diagonal to make eight half square triangles... |

Mark and cut the Color 2 1-1/2" x 10" strip into four 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangles. Mark and cut the Color 2 5" x 7" strip into four 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles...and now...on to Page 2! |
