Now align a half square with the lower edge of the "V" corner. (Have outer left edges aligned...I show mine staggered just so you can see what pieces I am using) Sew from the outer left edge to a point 1/4" from the edge of the square. Take an extra stitch there to secure. Now FOLD the unit right sides together to the left, so that the two un-sewn seams of the "V" corner and square line up. Stitch from the previous stopping point to the outer edge, reinforcing the inner corner with an extra stitch. Make four of these...

Now just sew the four units together to complete your Starwheels block!

Here are three blocks by three with sashings and cornerstones, surrounded by a pieced border!
