** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

First, using the templates provided cut the number of units indicated. Also cut one red 3-1/2" square.

 

 

Using a 1/4" seam, sew a blue triangle to a white. Press seams to darker side. Make four units like this...

Sew a red trapezoid to a white trapezoid, again using that standard 1/4" seam allowance. Press to dark side. Make four units like this...

Now sew the triangle unit to the trapezoid unit. Make four units like this...

Mark the four outer corners of the square along the 1/4" seam line. Sew this square to the top pieced unit of the block, between the marked corners, backstitching at the beginning and end of this seam. Press seam towards top unit...

Now add the bottom unit, and again press towards the outer unit...on to Page 2!
