The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Pickerel Tooth Square Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need one Blue (Color1) 6-1/2" square. Fat Quarters are fine!

First do all your paper piecing. Then sew the square/half square units to the top of the longer slant-units...

Sew the shorter slant units to the top and bottom of the center 6-1/2" square, pressing seams towards the slant units...

Now sew the longer slant units to the left and right of the center unit, pressing seams towards the new slant units... on to Page 2!
