Make four of the Unit A, B, C and D shown at left. To
do this, always using a 1/4" seam allowance, for Unit A:
sew a Color 2 Half Square triangle to the Red side of a Half Square
unit.
To make Unit B and Unit C: sew a Color 1 Half Square Triangle to the white side of a Half Square unit and a Color 2 Half Square Triangle to the Red side of the Half Square. To make Unit D: sew a Color 1 Half Square triangle to the white side of a Half Square. Sew a Color 2 6-7/8" Half Square Triangle to the left of each pieced Half Square units, then add a Color 1 6-7/8" Half Square triangle on the opposing side. Make four of these quarter-block units... |

Now lay out the four quarter block units as shown at left. Sew two horizontal rows, and then join those halves to complete the block... |
