The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Paddlewheels Block! You will need to print out two copies of the template page A and four copies of the template page B per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat quarters should be plenty!

After your units are paper pieced, join quarter block units as shown at far left, then piece the block as shown at near left!

The quilt, shown here on its side, is four blocks by five, with a very narrow dark purple border to accent the quilt, then a wider batik print border!

Hope you like it!

Happy Quilting!
