What a generous site - the most (generous) and really nice with information on everything to do with quilting. I of course live in Canada but plan to go to the U.S. (just south of the border from Quebec Province some weekend this summer as I have some ide s for quilts that I want to make as gifts. I have been sewing my own clothes for 30+ years and I have this big travel trunk (what would be called a steamer trunk in another age) and it is full of course of left-over pieces of fabric which I would like to se up. I will need to get a new ink cartridge to print out some of your patterns tomorrow,I wish I hadn't used mine up last week on less important things.I just can't get over all of the wonderful patterns. Like your site. I will need to explore ce ...and we always are learning new techniques, and ... well, in 2001 we are co-sponsoring the GA Quilt Council's annual Fall meeting with the Valdosta, GA guild, the Withlacoochee Quilt Guild. Just like everything else in GA, the majority of quilters and r lated activities go on in and around Atlanta, and they have only just recently learned that there are actually quilting guilds alive and active in "South GA". So, they are coming to see for themselves next year. Meanwhile, we just chug along merrily. The e are no quilt shops closer that The Quilted Peach in downtown Valdosta, or Hancocks in Columbus GA, or a shop in Macon, GA--all 1.5 hours away from Albany. (We do have a JoAnn's Fabrics in Albany, but for the upscale and exciting fabrics we all love, it eans a trip or shopping on the internet...which we all do alot of.) So all trips to quilting stores here are all-day excursions and you always go with a carfull of quilters, never alone, and it always includes lunch. Everything we do always includes a mea ! Well, Marcia, that brings me around to the request I have for you: there's always a story that goes along with a quilt, and your being such a great and enjoyable communicator about things, I was wondering if there are any interesting stories that go along with each new block you design and put in the collection of patterns? Your pattern choices are so very interesting, and I just think there must be something that inspires you...even if it is homebrewed Hooch! Some of us could stand a belt of inspiration n w and then to give some zip to our quilting! AnyWAYS, as you Maine folks say, have a great rest-of-June with your kids, and I'm sure Telecom will be coming soon...even to Maine! He should try Boston which is alot closer to anywhere in Maine than Atlanta is to Albany, Ga, and even WE, deepn the real oonies have ALLTEL, CELLULAR ONE, SPRINT WIRELESS, and most of the whole internet stuff, except rapid access. This being the South, even if we had it already, most of the folks wouldn't get around to using it for a few years (speaking of chang coming hard) so there appears to be no rush about anything, for that matter, in these here parts...some of the outskirts of Albany and the neighboring counties don't even have cable TV yet. (And we don't care how you do it "up North". "If it's so great u there, why did you come here and why don't you go back?" "Delta's ready when you are!"...if you get their drift!.) And how's that for a Yankee Goodbye?! xx Lynn (Every story is a little visit.)

Greatttt job!!! I love this web-site! I'm new to quilting, & am looking for an easier pattern than the Lemoyne Star. Did I spell that right? Anyway, I saw a quilt on a Joann Fabric ad on T.V.&found out it was Leymone Star. I want to try to do the same colors, but an easier pattern. So far, I've seen three of yours that might work.
