I love this site I have been here several times and told others about it. I haven't signed
the guest book until now, I don't know why. I don't see how you could do a better job. It
would be nice if each pattern had which size block on it but that is uch a little thing.

MY STARS!!! What a wonderful place to be if you are a quilter! I USED to go to WWQP to get

A FIVE STAR rating! A great site. I made a great wall hanging with your Interlaced block
last week; made it with 4 blocks and 2 boarders. Finished piecing Santa's Face tonight. I
am not sure what he is going to become yet but fun to make. Had problems with the second

Just found this site again. I had it once than lost it. Now I put in the favorites not to
be lost again. My girlfriend and I just started quilting about six momths ago. This site
is perfect for us as beginners. The directions are clear and understandable. I really like
this one .The many free blocks are very nice since it can be very hard to decide what

too. The Block Patterns - well, what can one say? The incredible variety of patterns you
offer, along with easy to follow (very visual) instructions is any novice qui ters' dream
come true!! Love the idea of including kids patterns too - my 11 year old daughter is
starting to show an interest in quilting, and has done some small applique projects using
the buttonhole stitch. She wants to make something machine pieced now, so we've been
looking at your blocks to see if there's something she likes that won't be too difficult
or frustrating for her to start on.... As for myself, I can't pick just one so I will

Have recently gotten into quilting. Have been searching the internet for the pattern
Grandma's Fan. Finally found it on your site (along with alot of other great patterns). Am

Marcia, I also read the article about pressing seams open. While the blocks come out nice
and flat, it is much more difficult to match the seams and points. It also takes more time
to get those small seam allowances open. Especially if you are like me a d your fingers
don't always want to do what you tell them. Others may find it is easier. Love the new
quilt block. Keep up the good work.

Marcia: Just found your new "Eight Pointed Star Variation" and I'm going to make
it -- I love the pattern. I notice that in the blue and yellow quilt, the corner squares
in the block are 4", but in the tan and white version, the corner squares of each
lock are made into four 2" blocks. Is this intentional? I guess those squares need to

I am new at quilting. Actually new isn't the correct word..more like I just bought a

I am writing a review of my favorite web site for our quilting guild's newsletter: Gone
Stitchin' Quilters in Americus, GA. My favorite site is Quilters' Cache, and today when I
visited, I saw that you have updated it and expanded it! Great job! I am writ ng a
humourous review because your sites are all delightful and I love your wit! As it turns
out, the guild is only a few years old and comprised of many Yankees, some who are here
with Habitat for Humanity, headquartered in Americus, GA. Our first and on y president
thus far, Linda Mills, comes from Maine! I myself spent 7 wonderful years in Warwick RI,
and before that 2 years in Newington CT, prior to moving South. Linda's husband works with
Habitat, mine works with Merck & Co. in Albany, GA--about 1 hr. away. I think Linda

Hi, Just wanted to thank you for your site. My Parents recently retired and are visiting
their children "who have been cast to the wind". My mother loves to quilt but
has trouble finding block patterns at home, (She lives on a small island in the North

Hello Folks!! This is Marcia's husband. :o) Sorry for the graphics not loading, but rest
assured the links are good and do work. Since this is a free site we have all the files on
a free webpage service. It is normally up and working quite well and we h ve been very
happy with it. BUTTT once in a while it does go through a slow period and we get this
problem. It will clear up and in the mean time keep trying reload or refresh. Also right
clicking over the graphic and selecting show picture will bring hem in one at a time.

I had to load each page several times before the images came in. Page 5 created a problem
because the reload always took me back to the home page. Maybe you could get the addresses

am really struck by your nickname, for I to am a Mamabear. Your poem is perfect. I
received my nickname because we had a family friend who always picked on my boys when they
were younger, drove me crazy, until I had enough and "swatted" the culprit. He
said I was like a Mamabear protecting her cubs. And it stuck, i keep a variety o children
of all ages (including three year old triplets) and they all call me Mamabear. In
addition, I was looking for quilt patterns on the net, when I found your site, I am a
beginner, we just started a class in our church, and I am proud to say that we have 13 new
quilters. The lady who is teaching us is a quilting wonder, and is from t e old school of

I'm a beginner at this. Have only done two quilts. One I entered in a fair. It was an
orginal I created while recovering from surgery. It was done from scrapes I had lying
about and it took a 2nd place ribbon. Made me feel good. Right now I'm in the rocess of

My soon to be daughter-in-law wants a wedding/memory quilt. Even though I have sewn for
many, many, MANY years, I have never quilted. So, while searching for help, ideas,

Marcia, How do you do it? I just found this site thru a search for quilt patterns. It is
so nice. I printed out the one for Card Tricks as I want to make it and your colors on it

Gentleman's Fancy. Turned out great! I have some 6" block embroidered with roses, but

AUNT AMELIA WHO WAS A MILLINERESS. NOW I CAN PUT ALL OF THESE ITEMS TO USE IN A MEMORY
QUILT, OR CRAZY QUILT. I COULD NOT PART WITH THESE ITEMS BUT WASN'T QUITE SURE WHAT TO DO

Your block patterns are wondersul. I started quilting just a few months ago and am hooked!
Its something I always wanted to do -- I remember when I was around 9 or 10 years old that
I wanted to make a quilt. So . . . one day when I was home alone, I pr ceeded to cut
squares out of all the hems of my and my sister's dresses. Of course, none of them was the
same size and there weren't enough to do anything with anyway so it was a waste. And, boy,
did I get in trouble with my mother. I laugh about it no . I was busy making yo yos after
I first retired and made about 30 pillows for this past Christmas. (I had previously made
my granddaughter a bedspread out of yo yos and its beautiful.) Then I remembered that I
always wanted to quilt. So here I am and I want to thank you for your beautiful site and
all the varied blocks. I don't know where to start. Thanks and keep up the good work. You
are appreciated ! ! ! ! !

Thanks! I have enjoyed pulling up the patterns and have really enjoy the ones you have
shown all together in a top. One suggestion that on some of the patterns you have used an
asterik instead of the one-half inch written out, for someone that is a begi ner it may be
confusing. Otherwise I have done at least fourteen of the blocks and found them done quite
