Hi I'm new to the quilting world. The reason that I am looking for patterns is becouse the old quilts that my mom had given me have become worn and tatered. I look at these old quilts and can remember my mom piecing them together by hand. She used scrap hat she could get form old clothes. Now its my turn to make quilts for the family. I've only pieced one quilt top and that was done when I was in Jr. High, I'm 36 now. my mother put it together and quilted it for I still have it. Great site for semi-crazed Moms!I'm also "Mama Bear", but at our local racetrack. Have two sons, 3 and 18, cats, dogs,goats,horses and bunnies! Quilting is my creativity outlet,stress reliever, and escape. But the racetrack is my 3 year olds favorite plac on Earth, so the new babies {racing babies} will be getting their own "track quilts". I use traditional block patterns and combine with rotary cutting to speed up the process. If you are ever in the NC area and see a small lady with a scanner and a quilt hoop at a race track, it's probably me! P.S. The hardest quilt I ever made was when my best friend lost one of her twins at birth and her mother asked me to make a burial quilt. Lots of tears went into that one.

I love your site...many of the gals in the on-line groups like the large blocks...I resize them to 8 or 10 inches though--I have finished a 12 Days of Christmas Quilt from the Brandywine pattern...it is 3/4 hand quilted...I like yours very much..
