Cut on
the diagonal as you did with Color 1, and then cut the triangles you get on the diagonal
again, as shown...now... |

To make the quarter
squares, use a scant 1/4" seam to join together a Color 1 and Color 3
triangle. Press seam to the darker side. Do this with all of them to give
you eight half- units. Sew the half units together to give you four quarter squares... 1/4" seams are used throughout the block making...

Then make two rows in
this fashion; sew a 4-1/2" corner square to either side of a quarter square for rows
1 and 3 of the block... |

For row two, sew a
quarter square to opposing sides of the 4-1/2" Color 2 square... |
|
|
To join rows, place
row two atop row one, right sides together. Stitch in a 1/4 " seam. Press seam
towards row one... |

|
Lastly, add row three to the bottom of rows one and two...and That's
all there is to it!!...on
