This makes a 12" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Night and Day Block! You will need to print out four copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.

Once your units are paper pieced, sew the four quadrants together as shown at far left...then join them to make the block! Easy!

The quilt is a lovely Optical one, shown on its side, and is just four blocks by five with a plain border :o) ( Even better with more contrast!)

Happy Quilting!!
