Here's a cute quilt for some lucky new Little One! It's nice in brights or pastels!

4 Blocks x 6 Blocks makes a perfect Project Linus Quilt Sized Quilt!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by marking and cutting the Color 1  9"square into four 4-1/2" squares...

Next mark and cut the Color 2  10" square into sixteen 2-1/2" squares...

Sew the Color 1 and Color 2  2-1/2" x 10" strips right sides together along one long edge using the standard scant 1/4" seam. Press seam to darker side. Mark and cut this at 2-1/2" intervals to make four pieced units...

Place a Color 2  2-1/2" square right sides together atop opposing corners of the Color 1  4-1/2" square, with all edges aligned. (I show them staggered here just so you can see that there are two layers) On the back of the top squares, lightly draw the diagonals, then sew ON these diagonal lines. Cut off the excess seam allowance, and press the remainder towards the outer triangle. Repeat this with another Color 2 square on the opposing corners. Make four units like this...on to Page 2!
