Fruit Bowl - Page 3

Next....it's fun to "Fill the Bowl" ! For this one, I'm recommending that you try some Broderie Perse, which is the cutting out of various motifs from one fabric, for appliqué onto another...in this case...fruits! Cut out around your chosen fruit motifs, including an extra 1/8"-1/4" for turning under, then appliqué to the base block, using color to match your fruit motifs.

Here's a quilt with three rows of three bowls each, separated by thin sashings, and filled with different fruits. Extra grape clusters and leaves are appliquéd to each corner!
