Then piece the block, using the diagram at left for placement and orientation. Alternate pressing directions by addition and by row to avoid bulky seams!

This quilt is a simple block to blocker, with added Flying Geese units as a border...
 

Notice the HUGE difference your color choice makes!...the quilt above being made with two contrasting colors of the same fabric, and the one at right with a darkish tan on white, every other block in reverse! Amazing that it's the same pattern! ...ahh, and I tucked four patches into the corners of this tan one!
