For the next column ...start by joining two half squares ... make two of these units... then add a 4-1/2" square to the bottom of that unit ... and add another  half square unit to the bottom of the square ...that is column two...

For the last column, add a half square to a Color 5  2-1/2"square..then another half square, and then ANOTHER half square...referring to the diagrams for placement and direction!
           

Now you are ready to join columns to make the block!! See? Not really as hard as one might think!! :o) Now go on to repeat these steps with three different fabric "claws"...sew the quarters together to make a Block!!...
