This makes a 9" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Cactus Star block! You will need to print out two copies of the template A page, and one of the B page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be ample!

Once you have all units paper pieced, lay them out as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows. join the rows to finish your block!
