** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** 

Using the template provided cut four half-eggs, adding a 1/4" seam allowances to sides of each as you cut. Crease your background 8-1/2" square to find the centers horizontally and vertically. Match up the center sides of the eggs to the center sides of the background square and appliqué in place, using your favorite appliqué method...
