The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try Buckwheat! You will need to print out
two copies of the corner unit, two copies of the second unit,
and two copies of center units A & B, per block you want to make
on very lightweight paper. A FQ of each fabric is fine! |
|
|
After your units are pieced,
join them as shown at left, using SCANT 1/4" seams. The Center
A and B units will be joined first to make rows. Alternate pressing
directions as you go, to keep the seams staggered. |

|
The quilt is again four blocks
by five, but with vertical sashings between rows. Without the
sashings, this was one BUSY quilt!
Happy Quilting All!
