This makes a 12" block!

Lots of pieces...but you can do it!!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

First sew one Color 4   2" x 8" strip to one Color 2   2" x 8" strip along one long edge. Then add another Color 4 strip. Press seam allowances towards center strip. Mark off at 2" increments, and then cut into four strips as shown...

Next sew a Color 2    2" x 4" strip to a Color 4   2" x 4" strip. Add another Color 4 strip. Press seam allowances towards outer strips. Mark off at 2" increments, and then cut into two strips...

Now sew one Color 4   2" x 8" strip to one Color 3   2" x 8" strip along one long edge. Then add another Color 4 strip. Press seam allowances towards center strip. Mark off at 2" increments, and then cut into four strips as shown...

Next sew a Color 3   2" x 4" strip to a Color 4   2" x 4" strip. Add another Color 4 strip. Press seam allowances towards outer strips. Mark off at 2" increments, and then cut into two strips...

Then mark and cut the remaining Color 2 and Color 3   2" x 4" strips into two 2" squares each...

Now cut the Color 2    3-7/8" x 7-3/4" strip into two 3-7/8" squares, then further bisect the squares on the diagonal, as shown...
