This makes a 9" or 12" block ! The pattern is written for 12" blocks. (9" strip sizes are in parenthesis) |

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Cut the Color 1 3-1/4" (2-3/4")
square in half on both diagonals to
make four quarter square triangles. (You only need two for this
block)...
Cut the Color 1 5-1/4" (4-1/4")square in half on both diagonals to make four large quarter square triangles... Now cut the Color 1 2-7/8" (2-3/8") square in half once on the diagonal to make two half square triangles... Then cut the Color 1 2-1/2" x 10" (2" x 8") strip into four 2-1/2" (2") squares...
