Triple Irish Chain In Progress!

Sew the Color 1 2" 8" strips to the top and bottom of each Color 3  5" x 8z' rectangle...then cut ONE of these at 2" intervals to make four units, as shown at right...

Sew these four strips to the top and bottoms of each Color 3  8" square...

Sew  Color 2   2" x 8" strips to the top and bottom of the other 5" rectangle unit...then cut this unit at 2" intervals to make four units, as shown at right...

Sew two of the units made in the previous step to the sides of each Color 3  8" square-plus strips unit...

Now sew the above strip units, using all your 2" x 8" strips...cut each of these at 2" intervals to make four strips of each...

Also sew the above strip units...cut the larger at 2" intervals to make four strips. Cut the smaller at 2" intervals to make 2 strips....

Sew two units like the one you see above...

Now set out the four units you will be joining and sew them together in rows....

Then piece the rows...and there's your block!

Sorry for the cruddy photos...When making them small enough to fit side by side they lose some clarity...
