Sew a Color 1 2" x 8" unit to a Color 3 strip of the same size. Press seam towards darker fabric. Add another Color 1 strip to the bottom of that unit. Add Color 2 strips to the top and bottom of that. Add Color 1 strips to the top and bottom of that. Mark and cut this at 2" intervals... |

In the same manner as the step above make one of each unit shown at left, marking at cutting each at 2" intervals... |

Join all the strips we just made in the order shown at left to make the last two quarter squares of the block... |
