This makes a 6" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try The Three Martini Star block! You will need to print out one copy of each of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.  

After all units have been paper pieced, join the template page B units. Now add the A units to  top and bottom edges to complete the block!

Here on its side you see four rows of five blocks each. Alternate blocks have been made in reverse! Note that this would be small since they are 6" blocks...great kiddo-size! For an adult sized bed, make lots!
