The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Star of David! You will need to print out two copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You also need two gold strips1" x 8-1/2" for the sides, and two gold strips 1" x 7-1/2" for the top and bottom. Fat Quarters will be fine!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

After all units are paper pieced, sew a Unit A to Unit B, then add Unit C. Make two units like this, and two using the Reverse units. Sew these four units together, then add the side gold strips. Lastly, add the top and bottom strips to complete the Star of David Block!

Here's a small wall hanging, with One center Star medallion, and pieced and plain borders!

Happy Quilting Folks!
