Now as you are about to sew on the last unit, mark a point on the 1/4" seam line, shown here in black, by the inside corner of the new unit. Align raw edges you will be sewing together, and stitch from that marked point to the outside of the seam, again backstitching at the marked point...
Now fold the block right sides together, where you have one partially un-sewn seam. Insert your machines needle in the previously marked 1/4" point; backstitch, and sew from there to the outer edge. This completes the block!

Here are four blocks by five with a simple pieced border!
