This makes an 8" block ! Here's a new version of a late 1800's pattern :o)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by stacking and cutting the Colors 1-8 4-7/8" squares once on the diagonal to make half square triangles. You only need one per color to make one block...

Using the template provided cut two circles from Color 9. Also cut two circles the same size from Light-weight interfacing...

Sew the Color 9 and lightweight interfacing circles right sides together all the way around the edge in a 1/4" seam. Now cut a slit through the interfacing only large enough to turn the circle right sides out. Press...

Cut one of the circles into four quarter circles...

Sew pairs of half square triangles together using a 1/4" seam. These should measure 4-1/2". Make a total of four different half squares in this same manner...on to Page 2!
