The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Seminole Feathers Block! You will need to print out 1 copy of the template A page, 4 of the B page, and 1 of the C page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need four 1-1/2" background squares, and four 3-1/2" background squares.  Fat quarters of each should be fine-maybe a tad more green!

First, paper piece all units. Sew together the two center units as shown at left...

Sew four of the two side units shown at top left.

Sew a small background square to the end of three small half square units. Sew the remaining small half square units to the right hand side of a larger background square. Join those to make four corner units...

Now piece the block as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows, then join those rows to finish your Seminole Feathers Block!

...on to Page 2!
